Iván Amador is a mobility specialist originally from Tampico, currently living and working between Mexico City and Merida. He obtained his degree in Urban Planning from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, along with the “Angel Borja Navarrete” and “Gustavo Baz Prada” awards. He has fifteen years of experience in mobility projects, carried out in more than 28 states of the country and various countries in Latin America. His work includes the development of more than two hundred consultancies, including public transportation systems, pedestrian spaces, safe intersections, implementation of bike lanes, traffic micro-simulations, impact studies on traffic and mobility, and optimization, reduction, and transformation of parking lots. His experience growing up in different cities, using different mobility systems, and never buying a car has led him to always seek multimodality by moving on foot, by public transport, on an electric rental motorcycle, by bike, and in Uber-type systems.
